New Year’s Sharing
In one way, it’s a circle back to the same day: January 1st. And yet, more accurately, we spiral into this anniversary: meaning, most of us aren’t just back where we started a year ago. More likely, we’ve spiraled into more expansive understanding and greater compassion. More likely, we’ve spiraled into deeper relationship with ourselves, others, and our world. And today is an opportunity to articulate ways we want to attune and even align ourselves with our Heart, so as to nourish greater spirals of our evolution.
Holiday Contemplations
The winter solstice is the shortest day, and longest night. It is nature's invitation to notice the natural pull to move into deeper intimacy with the darkness, the night, the mystical, and the fertile richness of the cave of the heart. At this time of the year, we honor the treasures unseen by the eye, but known by the heart.
Myth: Yoga is Only for Flexible People
Even if we’re doing yoga in a movement-based class, to move with awareness and breathe with mindfulness, is to create a shift in the mind and nervous system. With these shifts, our tension patterns, our stress, even our concepts of our world can shift and usher in a sense of ease and freedom.
Yoga is for all bodies- flexible or stiff. You don’t need to be anything except who you are.
Yoga for Heartbreaking Times
If we sense that fear and hate seed more of the same, perhaps we can make room for the belief that love and peace and groundedness and calm can seed more of the same.
As a studio, we believe…
As a teaching community, we at Full Radiance are dedicated to the practice of yoga as a path to connecting to the heart and to our wholeness.
Myth: Yoga is for white people
Representation makes a difference. That’s why our teachers at Full Radiance reflect the diversity in our community.Yoga is for all people.
Movement & Steadiness
Movement and steadiness. Steadiness and movement. Both/and. Yoga helps us to remember and embody our wholeness.
Yoga & The Elements
When we begin to clarify the elements within us, we awaken to the sacred nature all around us, below us, above us.
Myth: Yoga is only for rich people
At Full Radiance Yoga, we believe that yoga should be accessible for anyone who wants to learn. Classes and workshops are by donation. You pay what you can
